3D Printing and CNC Machining

3D Printing

  • Major part of the YourBrush prototype manufacturing

  • $215/cartridge of filament

    • yields a prototype brush averaging $20pp

    • yields approximately 10 brushes per cartridge

3D printing allows us to produce prototypes quickly and efficiently.

CNC Machining

  • CNC comes into play as a part of the final manufacturing process

  • We plan to use several materials in the production of YourBrush- these include oak wood, maple wood and aluminum

    • One block of oak wood yields 4 to 6 units

    • One block of maple wood yields 6 units for approximately $20

    • One block of aluminum yields 18 to 20 ferrules

CNC Machining allows us to manufacture handles and ferrules in mass quantities for a lower per unit cost.
